Designed for college dancers, recent graduates, and emerging professionals, the Professional Dance Intensive offers an immersive two-week experience that bridges advanced training with the realities of today’s professional dance world.
Participants study with internationally-recognized faculty and guest artists, engaging in rigorous daily technique classes, creative process, repertory, improvisation, and performance. Through an environment that mirrors the expectations of a professional company, dancers refine their technical excellence, expand their artistic voice, and develop the versatility required for today’s evolving dance landscape.
A culminating performance provides participants the opportunity to share their work while celebrating two weeks of artistic growth, collaboration, and creative exploration.

Tuition (includes room & board): $3,800
Non-Residential Tuition (includes lunch & dinner): $2,400

Designed for aspiring dance professionals, this three-week intensive offers a rare opportunity to study with distinguished faculty while preparing for college, conservatory, and professional careers. Students receive comprehensive training through daily classes in ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, conditioning, improvisation, choreography, and repertory; building both technical excellence and artistic confidence.
Beyond the studio, dancers expand their creative perspective through carefully-curated interdisciplinary experiences; including aerial and circus arts, theatre, visual arts, creative writing, and more. These opportunities encourage versatility, collaboration, and the adaptability expected of today’s professional dancer.
Evening rehearsals and performance opportunities cultivate the discipline, resilience, and expressive range needed to thrive in today’s evolving dance industry.
Ages: 15–18 (entering 10th grade–1st year of college)

Designed for dedicated high school artists preparing for college, conservatory, or professional careers, the Pre-Professional Performance Intensive offers two weeks of rigorous, career-focused training led by outstanding faculty and guest artists in the inspiring setting of the Rocky Mountains.
Dance Track
The Dance Intensive combines Perry-Mansfield’s renowned concert dance training with the energy and versatility of today’s commercial dance industry. Dancers will strengthen their technical foundation while exploring contemporary choreography, commercial styles, performance for camera, aerial dance and the adaptability required of today’s professional performer.
Ages: High School Students (grades 9–12)

For the dedicated young artist pursuing a passion for dance, the Young Artist Intensive offers an immersive experience rooted in Perry-Mansfield’s rich tradition of artistic excellence. Students receive exceptional instruction from our esteemed faculty while developing strong technical skills, artistic expression, creativity, and confidence in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Over the course of two weeks, dancers participate in daily technique classes, rehearsals, and creative exploration as they work toward a culminating performance. In addition to foundational training in dance, students choose from a variety of electives—including theatre, music, writing, visual arts, and more—to broaden their artistic perspective and complement their dance education.
Our newly condensed two-week format was thoughtfully designed in response to family feedback, allowing students greater flexibility for travel, additional summer training, and competition schedules while preserving the exceptional educational experience that has defined Perry-Mansfield for generations.
We are excited to continue offering a non-residential option for participants from the Yampa Valley area.
This two-week intensive requires attendance for the full duration of the program to ensure each student receives the complete training and performance experience.
