Celebrating Perry-Mansfield’s 112th Season

This signature spring production offers our Senior Ensemble an extraordinary opportunity to work in a true mentorship environment alongside professional artists, guest performers, and Perry-Mansfield faculty. Rather than simply rehearsing a show, students will experience the collaborative creative process firsthand—learning beside working professionals while developing as artists, leaders, and storytellers.

Culminating in a special performance at Strings Music Pavilion, Legacy in Motion celebrates Perry-Mansfield’s 112th season by honoring the vision of Portia Mansfield and Charlotte Perry while embracing the future of the performing arts. Blending theatre, dance, music, movement, and original storytelling, this unique production reflects the same spirit of innovation and mentorship that has defined Perry-Mansfield for more than a century.

Hadestown Teen Edition

Spring 2027 Senior Ensemble Musical: Hadestown Teen Edition

Vocal and acting auditions: Friday, November 13, 2026

Please prepare:

  • A one-minute song excerpt in the style of Hadestown.
    We encourage selections that showcase your storytelling ability,
    vocal range, and individuality.
  • A prepared monologue.
    Choose a piece that demonstrates your acting ability and
    connections to character.

Movement call and lead callbacks: Saturday, November 14, 2026

  • All auditioning performers will participate in a movement call.
    No formal dance training is required.
  • Callbacks for lead roles will be announced immediately following
    the movement call and held that day.

Rehearsals begin January 11, 2027, and will be mandatory
throughout the spring semester.

Performances: May 6-9, 2027. All audition participants
will be cast.

Junior Ensemble

January 11-March 28, 2027

Grades 4-8

 

Junior Ensemble introduces young performers to the excitement of theatrical storytelling through acting, movement, music, and ensemble performance. Students build confidence, creativity, communication skills, and teamwork while preparing for our fall production in an encouraging and supportive environment.

Perfect for students looking to develop foundational performance skills while becoming part of the Perry-Mansfield artistic family.

Performances on March 25-28. Show to be announced soon!
