Ages 8–10 / 1 session august 5–11

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE ARTS Song writing, theatre exploration, body movement and creative writing are just a few of the opportunities available to the younger student in the Discovery Day Camp. Talented instructors lead the group in a combination of arts training and traditional camp activities. Join us for an exciting week exploring, creating and discovering the excitement of the arts!
WHAT YOU’LL STUDY
Discovery Day Camp is a one week introduction to the performing arts for the younger student. Campers begin their day at 8:30 and parents pick them up at 5:00.
Students spend their mornings taking classes in theatre, dance, music, creative writing, and fine arts. In the afternoon students participate in more traditional camp activities such as tye-dying, nature hikes, and a trip to the Old Town Hot Springs.
In lieu of a public performance, Discovery Campers present a Showcase Day on their final day of camp. Showcase Day allows parents to meet the instructors and to observe the students sharing all they have learned in each of their classes.
CLASS REGISTRATION
Discovery students have a pre-set curriculum and do not register for class.
