Naomi is a proud Perry-Mansfield Alumni! In addition to her summers at P-M, Naomi trained at the Guildford School of Acting in England, at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and at Canada's famed Etobicoke School of the Arts, of which she is an honors graduate. While still in high-school, Naomi was cast in her first professional production, and became a member of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association. Favourite theatre credits include the title roles in both Cinderella and Anne of Green Gables, the Canadian revival of HAIR at Canadian Stage (supervised by co-author James Rado,) the Neil Simon comedy I Ought to Be in Pictures, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, as well as Charlotte’s Web, and Jasper Station. As a member of ACTRA Naomi most recently filmed an episode of Close Encounters, and her singing was featured in a Bessie Award winning commercial campaign. In addition to performing, Naomi takes great pleasure in running her performing arts studio, The Stage Door Academy, located in Toronto, Canada. Her passion for teaching began as a teenager when she was assistant to the director of the children’s ensemble at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has been teaching ever since. She has taught Acting and Musical Theatre, as well as private singing lessons, at a number of schools and studios throughout the city of Toronto. She also acted as Curriculum and Education Coordinator for the City Playhouse Theatre run by the City of Vaughan, which while under her guidance, became the fastest growing Arts Academy in all of York Region's history. Naomi continually strives to build confidence in her students, while nurturing their individual talents, inspiring their creativity, and fostering their technique. She is thrilled to be "home" at Perry-Mansfield, where she hopes to infuse her love of performing - and all things P-M - in the next generation of campers!
