Cynthia DuFault has amassed a number of credentials as dancer, choreographer, and educator. She received both a BFA and MFA in dance with emphasis in choreography and performance from Arizona State University. As both a modern and ballet trained dancer with additional expertise in jazz styles, tap, musical theatre, and gymnastics, her art making lends a dimension of diversity, physicality, and risk, which has expanded within a wide range of mediums including concert dance, theatrical production, commercial dance, and film. Subsequently, she is a Nevada Art Council/National Endowment for the Arts 2016-17 Performing Artist Fellowship recipient. Pedagogically, she has conducted master classes and residencies at universities, conservatories, and public schools throughout the country and in Mexico. Her prominent teaching credentials include New World School of the Arts, Universidad de Guanajuato in Mexico, University of Northern Colorado, Indiana University, the College of Southern Nevada, and most recently, State University of New York. Cynthia first taught at Perry-Mansfield in 1994 and was the year-round Dance Director for four years. She recently rejoined the P-M community in 2016.
